Title: Recolor and de-shinify Enayla's retextures of Marvine's small horns
Post by: Astro Cake on March 05, 2011, 04:56:26 PM
I tried doing this myself, but was unable to nerf the shininess of this mesh. I really dislike how shiny the mesh is, so I would love a non-shiny version of the mesh and a handful of natural recolors. The horns can be found here (http://www.insimenator.org/index.php/topic,23914.0.html).

If you still want it, I can try do this. But tell me - what exactly colors do you want? :)

Using Pooklet's natural tones would be your best bet.

Sorry for my long absence ;) So, I have one more question... I can't find this horns with Enayla's retextures ;/ In accessories shows up only black Marvine's horns. How do you installed them? I really want to recolour them but I have this stupid problem...

How odd.  Here (http://www.mediafire.com/?vr27btf21oic59x) are the files straight out of my Downloads folder. See if they're any help.

Thank for this files ;) I made something like that:

Do you like it? If not, I'll try change this.

It's hard to tell if they're still shiny in that picture. Do they still look like they're polished to you in Bodyshop?

The shine probably has to do with the mesh itself, and not the recolors. You could perhaps look for a tutorial on how to make accessories shiny, and do the opposite of what it says to do. Other than that I can't really help because I've never worked with shine on meshes before. I just know that there is a property that you can change to make them shiny or somesuch.

I know. I tried this myself and failed. My thread in Devil in the Details died out, so I gave up.

Yes, it still shining. Maybe I'll try do that, what Kayleigh said. There must be some way to make this horns non-shining.

edit: Finally, I probably know how to do this! I'll be have to change a few figures in SimPe. So I'll do my best ;P

edit 2: Grab this and tell me if this is what do you want: http://www.mediafire.com/?aswgazaqh7dhxam (http://www.mediafire.com/?aswgazaqh7dhxam) If so, I'll make rest of Pooklet colors.  :dork:

Double posting is against the rules. Next time you'll get a warning.
