Have you ever wanted a pink parent and a blue parent to have a chance of having a violet baby?   What about getting skin colors that are similar to, but not exactly the same as, the parents?   Or wanted a lot of choices from one slider?  Or even just wanted some new color choices?

This is a set of 18 sliders, in three groupings, that offer a lot of color and genetic possibilities.

The skin color sliders are generally light to dark and pale to bright.   There are some odd bright or dark bands of color that appear in some of the color sliders; I left them in to add interest.

Opals have the most colors in each slider, like the gem stone.

Paints are designed to work like paint.   Make one parent from one end of the slider, and another parent from the other.   And then poof!  Their genetics combine like paint to make pretty little pupae.

Fruits are generally one color, with the odd blip or blob for interest.

Download here updated to include Opal Scatter 14

I had a request for a slider with white, which I had made but had not released.
Please keep in mind that it will only look white if used with a skin designed for pallor.
Download Opal 14 - use this if you downloaded the sliders in the first few days, because Opal 14 had not been added yet

Things to keep in mind:
  • these are just color sliders, meaning they will show up under your default skins
  • they will not alter or affect your default skin in any way, other then being very colorful when you select them
  • use your mouse wheel to scroll through them, they will show up like any other non default in the skin selection section
  • depending on your default skin the palms or cheeks may have varying degrees of pink, which might look weird
  • like all non-default skins these are not meant to be included in sims3packs
  • yes, a lot of the numbers are missing - I made several that I am not releasing

Want to see pictures of them in use?
I have some pictures of aliens here, here, and here.

But if you want to see some jaw dropping images, then visit the ones by simminglystrange.  She offered to test them for me, and honestly I didn't think the color sliders could look that amazing, and certainly not so darn sexy.
See them here, here, here, here, and here.   Honestly, if I knew someone would make them look this good I would have made them sooner.  Shows what I know.

Creator policy:

If, and only if, credit is given, along with a link to my blog then you may:
-Include the .package files with your sim or lot files for ease of sharing
-Use the .dds and .png files in your own projects
-Edit the files for your own projects
-Use the files for almost anything as long as it is free

You may never:
-Upload these files or a project using these files to any donation/pay site, even if the project  is free
-Use these files for anything requiring donation/payment

In other words, you are generally welcome to take apart these files and then put them back together again in other files, as long as you remember to link back to me.  Have fun! Smiley

And finally model credits for the kicker image, at least as much as I can find:

I really like 15 and 17. They have a really nice balance of real-ish tones with fantasy tones. There's a darkish tone in 17 that I especially like, that seems well suited to those described in novels as 'swarthy'.

I love these skin-tones!! ^_^ But, just to be sure, I don't have to download anything extra for these to work, right?  Undecided

I....don't think so?  Well, you need everything set up correctly for package files.  But...I think that is it.  I think.

Also.

Thank you everyone. Smiley

I just tested these skins out out, and, well they ate dakest naturul.. Also only two or three of them showed up in my game. Is this because of something I did/my game did or something else?

Nyks - I would love to help you, but I'm not sure what you are asking.
MTS has some information on package files here.

Jmtmom has more information about finding and using non-default skintones here.

Thank's anyways, I think the problem was me and game. But I'm getting these wonderful skins to work, so there shouldn't be a problem anymore.
